Prof Craig Pournara

Prof Craig Pournara

Craig is the interim SARChI Chair in Mathematics Education at the University of the Witwatersrand, and Director of the WMCS project. He is an Associate Professor in the Wits School of Education. He led the professional development work in WMCS from 2010 to 2019 and leads the Learning Gains Study which investigates the impact of the project’s professional development work on learner attainment. He is also a former Director of the Marang Centre for Maths and Science Education at Wits.
